When Marilyn first commissioned me, she told me she was going on a trip to Italy with her daughter. We worked together with the furniture and colors in the painting to remember Italy. Marilyn also wore her mothers ring to make her a part of the piece reflecting her desire to celebrate their family heritage. She wanted to reflect what she was passing on to her daughter, Andrea, the strong one now taking on the world.
I still didn't know Marilyn and Andrea all that well so I pray to the one who sees the internal, hearts and minds. I pray God would work and speak through my painting so I give Him the highest praise
When Marilyn first saw her painting she said "Its breathtaking, No one could have captured the emotion and meaning that this portrait conveys, we will cherish it forever." She cryed and told me she was fascinated how when she looked at them in the painting, she could see her and her daughters' own thoughts and feelings that it blew her away. This is the power of God I say.
