This Painted piano entitled ‘Serenity’ was created for the public to play, make memories and enjoy. Visit it at its location at the Kenmore gazebo (4 Delaware Ave. Kenmore NY, in front of Spot Coffee.
The project was commissioned by D. Lawrence Ginnane Funeral Home and sponsored by Miller Piano Service and Lamb & Lion Studios.
I had the joy of completing a figurative oil painting of a playful child on the face of the piano and repainting the rest of the piano, giving the piano a new life.

With the Kenmore location being a family friendly place and I, being so driven to paint children, giving them a voice, I knew the perfect young girl for the painting, one with the most playful spirit who loves to sing and dance. I told her to imagine that she could portray such insight to the world if she looked as if she was dancing for and looking only at God with all the love she had for Him. She posed for me from life and for multiple reference photographs.
Amidst the process of the painting, I thought of her and many other children and family’s in the world, struggling to find joy and meaning. I can see it in her eyes, the meaning of life, not found in ourselves. A selfish pride is fleeting by a selfless love never fails. If I could offer hope to all people through the eyes of a little girl immersed in the appreciation, joy and serenity of Gods glory.
